Memorial Coliseum Conference Center Addition

The $16 million conference center adds 62,000 square feet of space to the Memorial Coliseum. The addition now puts more than 1 million square feet under one roof, making it the third-largest venue in Indiana, after Lucas Oil Stadium and the Indianapolis Convention Center. The new space allows for more events to be booked for one time slot, and a connection to the main Coliseum building allows the use of larger events. State-of-the-art technology, including big-screen video capability and programmable LED mood lighting are just some of the new features built into the project. It took more than 110,000 construction hours, beginning in November 4, 2014 to construct the addition that had to be completed by the end of 2015 to allow for the first event to take place on January 2, 2016.
